Street Mayhem

Street parking - stalling vehicle on the street for as long as hazard lights are on and cars can still fit in whatever available space is left, with utter disregard for the traffic jam he creates with his action 

Sidewalks- extensions of private property and free space for commercial activity

Mobile Slums are Making the Metropolis Ugly

I know this can sound so anti-poor, but sidecars, also known as pedicabs are just UGLY!  It's a pity they dot street corners, even parked haphazardly, make turning into roads difficult, slow down vehicles because they refuse to sidestep a bit.  When, oh when, will we ever get rid of them???

Where to Now?

The Kimberley Coast!  Am I ready for this?

My friend Isa seems to be preparing for Kilimanjaro.  Will I ever be ready for something like this?

I hope I'll be ready for the following in my bucket list:
1. See a yak up close and personal.
2. Reach Mt. Everest even if only until base camp.
3. Go on a beautiful train ride, you know, something that goes through the Alps.
4. Don a perfect safari outfit and join a camp in the Serengeti.

Why I Don't Watch Willing-Willie

I have absolutely nothing against those people who go to Willing-Willie, previously Wowowee (sorry if my spellings are wrong, I simply don't care in this case). If their lives have been made better by being in Willie's show, well and fine.

But what I do have against the show is how people are treated like "you need money, then you won't mind doing this: you won't mind spilling the beans about your and your family's life, you won't mind singing or dancing no matter whether you're happy about it or not.... whatever, you need money, and that's why you're here in the show.

Well, I may not be rich like him, but I definitely am not cheap.

I Love Salmon!

Salmon, one of my favorite foods! Sometimes I wonder why I like it so much. But I do, really do, be it sashimi, grilled, smoked, with salad, with bread, in a pate.... love, love, love it!
